Challenge Yourself and Change Lives at the Easter Seals Drop Zone

June 07, 2016

You are Invited to Participate in the Easter Seals Drop Zone

For Immediate Release

June 7, 2016

Challenge Yourself and Change Lives at the Easter Seals Drop Zone

Calgary, AB – On September 1, 2016, a group of superheroes will face their fears and rappel 30-storeys down the Sun Life Tower to the streets of downtown Calgary in support of Easter Seals Alberta.

YOU can be a Superhero too. We are inviting you, the Media, to challenge each other to be the “Ultimate Media Superhero”. Challenge your audience to pledge money for your rappel or, if you want, challenge another media personality to see who can raise the most money.  We’ll leave the creativity up to you!

We’re asking each participant to raise a minimum of $1,500 in pledges to support Easter Seals Alberta.  For all media personalities, the $1,500 minimum fundraising amount can be exchanged for media coverage of the event. You can also encourage your listeners to pledge you to be the Top Media Fundraiser for 2016.

Training will be provided. Your efforts will help Easter Seals Alberta operate Easter Seals Camp Horizon, which annually helps more than 1,200 Albertans living with disabilities have an adventurous summer camp experience. Funds raised also support people with disabilities by providing mobility equipment, through the Equipment & Support Services Program, and by operating Easter Seals McQueen Residence, a 24-hour group home for adults with physical disabilities.

Step outside your comfort zone and off a tall building. You’ll get the thrill of your life while helping inspire potential, building community, and enriching lives among Albertans with disabilities or medical conditions.
