PDD and FSCD Navigation
Navigating the complexities of government programs like Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) and Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) can feel overwhelming – but you don’t have to do it alone. As the designated Family Resource Centre (FRC) for the Regions of Alberta including Northeast, Northwest, Edmonton, Central, Calgary and South. The Family Resource Center at Easter Seals Alberta is here to guide you every step of the way.
Our dedicated Resource Coordinators provide tailored support to help families understand, access and manage FSCD and PDD funding and services. Whether you are new to these services or need help maximizing your contract, we are here to make the process smoother and less stressful.
What We Offer
Workshops: Learn the ins and outs of FSCD and PDD through our specialized workshops:
- FSCD 101: Understand your FSCD contract, navigate services, manage invoicing and reimbursements, and access valuable resources.
- PDD 101: A foundational guide to PDD services, helping you understand contracts, services, and supports for your loved one.
- Online Claims Reimbursement (OCR): A hands-on workshop to help you set up and manage your OCR account, submit claims, and ensure compliance.
- Abuse Prevention and Response Protocol (APRP): A mandatory workshop for Family Managed Services (FMS) administrators with a PDD contract, we help you to gain the tools to recognize and respond to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation in individuals with developmental disabilities.
One-on-One Consultations: Work directly with a Resource Coordinator to discuss your unique needs and get personalized support navigating FSCD and PDD services.
Contract Management Guidance: From understanding your agreements to ensuring proper record-keeping, invoicing, and reporting, we’ll help you stay on track and make the most of your supports.
Resources and Education: Access tailored information and tools, empowering you to make informed decisions and advocate for your loved ones needs.
Getting Started
FSCD and PDD navigation services are funded by Disability Services and are available through a referral process. If you are already connected to FSCD or PDD, speak with your caseworker to request a referral, or contact us to learn about self-referral options.
