General Wedding Information

Thank you for considering Easter Seals Camp Horizon as the venue for your special day.

We offer a rustic setting, perfect for a natural wedding environment. We cater weddings within a guest range of up to 140 people.  A site visit is recommended to further understand what our facility has to offer. Our facilities are warm and inviting with a rustic appeal. Your décor can compliment our existing spaces.
During the May, June, September and October high season months, wedding bookings
require a Friday – Sunday “all camp” booking which would include use of our main hall as well as our accommodation buildings. November through April offers a greater degree of flexibility in the booking including the possibility of a one day rental.

Hall Rental

Our Main Hall offers a dramatic setting for your reception. Seating capacity for up to 140 guests.

For your ceremony, we have multiple outdoor locations with breathtaking views. Should the weather not cooperate with an outdoor setting the main hall offers a beautiful setting around the fire. Depending on the size of your quest list we can offer  a combination of seated and standing space. Assistance will be required to transition the Main Hall to be ready for the reception following the ceremony.

Photography is not included in our package. Our recommended photographer is Depth of View Photography. Examples of their work and contact info can be found at: OR

Entertainment/ Master of Ceremonies

We have a sound system, projector and screen available. It is advised that your Master of Ceremonies and/or DJ visit our site prior to your ceremony to get an overview on how to operate the system.

During the high season period of May-October all weddings would be catered by our highly skilled Food Services department. Menus can be customized to suit your tastes and budget. Meals other than the Wedding Dinner/Reception can also be provided for your guests to include breakfast and lunch as needed. Estimated charges for breakfasts/BBQs and other weekend meals can be provided upon request.

During our low season of Nov-April we can also allow for outside catering at a kitchen rental fee of $500 per day. Basic dishware is available but may not suit the décor of your special day. Rentals are recommended for special dishware requests.

Bar Service

With Bar Service, ProServe certified bartenders will be provided by camp for the duration of your reception. Last call will be at 12:00am with the bar closing at 12:30am. Reception ends at 1:00am.

The clients are to provide their own alcohol. Use of homemade wine, beer, spirits is NOT permitted. The client must arrange rental of stemware for their event to accommodate the beverages to be served. (i.e. wine glasses, high ball glasses, champagne flutes, etc.) Clients must obtain their own Special Event Liquor License and Liquor Liability Insurance.

Wedding Menu Selection

It is our pleasure to create a memorable meal during your reception. All meals are served Buffet Style.

Indoor accommodations are a rustic bunk style with shared bathroom/shower facilities with separate male/female washrooms. Buildings include: Wolf Den, Eagles Nest, Moose Lodge, Venture Lodge & Wapiti Lodge. Booking the entire facility for accommodations can accommodate 140 guests. Smaller groups may be able to book a per-building package during non-peak seasons. Guests are required to bring bedding & towels for all onsite accommodation.
