AccessABILITIES Home Automation Program
Individuals with disabilities often face significant barriers and challenges in their own homes, for instance: not being able to lock a door, get outside, control the temperature in their own home, or see who is ringing their doorbell. These barriers put these individuals at risk and can cause social isolation.
Easter Seals Alberta’s AccessABILITIES Home Automation Program provides Albertans living with a disability a means to move, communicate, experience the world, and access life with the click of a button.
The Accessibility Supports AccessAbilities Program is intended to provide home automation items to increase the quality of life and independence of Albertans living with disabilities.
Equipment that is available under this program includes:
- Smart Speakers
- Smart Displays
- Smart Plugs
- Smart Lighting
- Smart Thermostats
- Smart Locks
- Video Doorbells
In addition to the application, please ensure a letter from a healthcare professional confirming your medical diagnosis is submitted.
