Here are a few Letters from Camp:

"Esther has had very positive experiences at Camp Horizon.  She smiles for weeks after she comes home.  Thank you!" - Esther’s Mom

"The kids at school focus on my disabilities, while the people at camp focus on my abilities. That is why camp is so special to me. My favorite activities to do at camp are the Giant Swing because I like the thrill of being so high up in the air out of my wheelchair and the speed of swinging, and also horseback riding because it is calming and a new experience.” - Zachary Klenner, age 13, pictured above. (Camper at ESCH since he was 7 years old.)

"Easter Seals Camp Horizon allows me to be independent!  It is the highlight of my year.  I always look forward to it and, I always have many wonderful memories to last until I get to go again!” - Thomas, age 12, pictured above. (2008-2009 Easter Seals Youth Ambassador.)

“In the small town I live in I’m known as Joe – the guy in the wheelchair… But at Easter Seals Camp Horizon I’m just Joe.” - Joe, age 16.

"Thank you! We had an amazing time. Your staff is so much fun. Our girls loved every minute and we will definitely be back.” – Randi, 84th Girl Guides.

A Special Thanks to Rowena

"My son was diagnosed with Celiacs earlier this month and we were all really dreading Link camp with the Beavers at Camp Horizon this past weekend because of the new special diet he has to follow. Rowena made his meals special for him and placed them under the green lid so he knew where to find them. His new favorite food is her bacon and cheese muffin. She helped make his camp experience both memorable and enjoyable and mine less stressful worrying about his food. The staff was so accommodating and didn’t make us feel like we were being a pain! Thanks again for making his first camp a great one!" - Rhonda

"Thank you for another great time we all had at Camp Horizon last month. You have incredible staff and a wonderful facility.” – Douglasdale Scouts
