Administration Volunteering
Easter Seals Alberta: Office Administrative Assistant Volunteer
As our volunteer Administrative Assistant you will help with the effective and efficient delivery of administrative support services to Easter Seals Alberta’s Calgary office. We are looking for someone 3 – 4 hours a week at our office between 8am – 4pm.
This role involves interaction with staff and will include a variety of administrative tasks, including:
- Answer incoming calls – a detailed script and training provided;
- Filing;
- Thank you calls to donors and supporters – detailed information will be provided;
- Write thank you cards to donors and supporters;
- Assist Easter Seals staff with other duties as they arise;
- Other duties as assigned.
Easter Seals Alberta: Research Grants and Donors Volunteer
Do you pride yourself at sourcing hard to find information? Do you want your efforts to have impact? Easter Seals Alberta is looking for a Research Grants and Donors volunteer. The purpose of this position is to identify and provide the fund development team with funding opportunities through corporations and foundations, and applicable grant applications for Easter Seals Alberta programs. We are looking for someone 3 – 6 hours a week. Hours can be flexible and working from home is possible. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, persevering, and enjoys research.
Tasks include:
- Prospect research and creation of donor profiles;
- Enhance our Donor Prospects list.
Edmonton

Casino Volunteers
The Edmonton Casino in support of Easter Seals Alberta is being held on April 24-25, 2020 at the Starlight Casino, WEM. We are looking for 40 volunteers to help in the capacity of General Managers, Bankers, Cashiers, Chip Runners and Countroom for various shifts. Community & Event Volunteering
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community, and take part in signature and community events. We are looking for volunteers with diverse skill sets who could volunteer out of Calgary, Edmonton, or Bragg Creek.

Easter Seals Alberta: Event Volunteer
Easter Seals Alberta runs several events throughout the year and need a large number of volunteers to make this possible. We are always looking for volunteers to help with setup, selling raffle tickets, helping run our live and silent auctions, and other tasks as needed. You will bring your “can do” attitude, high professionalism, and superior customer service or organizational skills. Events are typically a 5 – 8 hour commitment.
Work Crew
Easter Seals Alberta’s Camp Horizon and McQueen Home.
Work Crews are a fantastic way for corporate groups to make a difference in the lives of Albertans with disabilities and to have a team-building, fun-filled day outdoors!
Work Crew projects include but are not limited to:
- Landscaping & gardening
- Painting & staining (indoors & outdoors)
- Fence building & repair
- Tile installation (indoors)
- Simple carpentry
- Trail maintenance & boardwalk building/repair
- Program set-up (assembling/moving tents, picnic tables, fire pits, etc.)
- Outhouse maintenance (only for the extra keen!)
Depending on the group size and what skills and resources you are able to bring along, we can customize a work party experience for you. Groups can be self-catered (outdoor BBQ provided) or enjoy a hot lunch at Camp.
We are currently accepting work crews for the fall season at both Camp Horizon and McQueen Home.
McQueen Home is actively seeking a group to do some landscaping (tree trimming) in Edmonton.
