Exceptional mountain bike and hike is back!

Join up to 200 participants in the Banded Peak Challenge, and help send kids with disabilities to Easter Seals Camp Horizon!

Bragg Creek, AB – The Banded Peak Challenge is rescheduled to occur on Moose Mountain, Saturday Sept. 10, 2016.  Following an unfortunate cancellation of the event in July due to weather, the Banded Peak Challenge is back on.  This is a truly unique back-country adventure that encourages youth, families, and outdoor enthusiasts to summit a mountain in support of children and adults with disabilities and medical conditions.

Registration is $100 per adult and $50 for anyone under 18.  Participants can waive the registration fee by collecting pledges in support of Easter Seals Camp Horizon. Registration includes a unique T-shirt, post-event BBQ, professional bike security checks, a swag bag and prize draws.

The event has two courses to choose from:

1)  Bike and hike: Bike & hike 32 kilometres to the summit of Moose Mountain (at 2,351m) and back down again!

2)   Competitive Mountain Bike Race “Ridgeback Revenge”: Brand new this year is the Ridgeback Revenge (competitive loop). The bike racer’s version of Banded Peak Challenge aimed at competitive riders who are looking for a great race, workout, or training day in the name of charity, and of course a chance to stand on top of the podium!

With great prizes to be won at outposts along the bike and hike trail, and outstanding volunteer support from start to finish, this event promises a fantastic experience in the back country in support of a great cause.

If you only climb one mountain in your life, make it this one!
