We Care Ball – A Night of Glamour and Glitz
The red carpet rolled out as the guests stepped into Hotel Arts for the 34th Annual We Care Ball on Thursday April 4th. Hotel Arts was a spectacular venue and fit the Hollywood theme perfectly.
Guests wowed us with their stunning gowns and dapper suits. Lady gaga and Elton John welcomed the guests for the perfect photo-op and the night kicked off with sangria an oyster station, lamb pops and a special VIP fireside chat with Darrel Janz & Makrina Morozowski.
The main doors opened and the guests flooded in to a room drenched in beautiful red & golds. There were mouthwatering canapes and delicious chef attended stations that included gnocchi, poutine, pork steam buns and the list goes on! Guests also viewed the silent auction and purchased raffle tickets for a chance to win a summer’s worth of beer, a year’s worth of wine or 2 tickets anywhere Air Canada flies in North America, Mexico or the caribbean.
Darrel Janz & Cathy Lee MC’d the evening and the program kicked off with the Easter Seals Ambassador Makrina Morozowski followed by an awards video for our community partners and a closing piece from the Executive Director Larry Mathieson.
By the end of the night guests had filled up on goodies including a s’mores station, PB & J doughnuts and avocado chocolate delights and Easter Seals Alberta had raised a total of $65,000 to benefit people living with disabilities in Alberta.
